About
I write about animals, land, and the systems that determine what happens to both.
I grew up in the Chicago area and hold a Master's degree from DePaul University. Before turning to writing full-time, I spent years doing volunteer work in animal welfare and conservation. Experiences that shaped how I think about the intersection of policy, ecology, and public responsibility.
My focus areas include wildlife protection, public land stewardship, climate policy, and environmental law. I'm drawn to subjects where the science is clear but the politics are not, and where the gap between what we know and what we do keeps widening.
I'm building toward a career in environmental law and policy. This site is a platform for developing my thinking in public, working through arguments, testing ideas, and writing with the kind of precision that the subject demands.
I don't write to perform concern. I write to think clearly about things that matter.
